Evaluate Students in a Training Program

One of the best uses of our audience response system is in providing an effective presentation and analysis of an educational program. The content is presented in a familiar format and is reinforced by the accompanying dialogue from the instructor.

The immediate feedback provided by the audience response system enables the instructor to gauge the effectiveness of his or her training. This allows the instructor to alter the presentation and address problem areas for any topics that the audience is having difficulty understanding.

The students are able to respond to test questions and have their responses evaluated while the content is still the current topic of discussion. With the instructor able to see the responses immediately, he or she can comment on the results and make changes to the instruction as needed to ensure that the audience fully comprehends the content.

Evaluate the Training Program Itself

And very often, the training program itself is being evaluated. In this scenario, a pre/post comparison of knowledge levels illustrates the success of the training program.

The instructor starts out by asking content-related questions to gather a baseline knowledge level for the students. Then, he or she takes the students through the training program, followed with another series of content-related questions.

The goal in reviewing a comparison of the pre-training and post-training questions is to see the general trend toward more correct answers appearing after the training. This would demonstrate how successful the training had been for the class.
